For example, mechanical construction using bevel edges, soft and round objects using mesh smooth after rough subdivide(remember before smooth delete all history and maintain smooth history). Understand some tiny details and general textures don't need modeling can use bit map convert. Understand how to check and fix problems which will cause bad results of normal map generations. |

·Finish Low Resolution mesh for last week's HighRes model, pay attention to hard/soft edges must understand bake normal map with all soft edge should cause unacceptable consequence. Analysis 4 variety of material rubber/wood/plastic/metal. Paint textures for these 4 kinds of asset. |

The 3rd

·Modeling: make a realistic mechanical structure, attention to hard edge setup. UV: use overlaying UV shell increase effeciency. NormalMap: Understand how to generate normal map. Understand how to use Photoshop or CrazyBump convert normal texture. Color&Spec: add scratch and dirt as well as used marks increase realistic feeling.

·Use half a day introduce axmesh exporter and show assets in U3 or any other game engine is enough. In this week students need more practice in next generation texture. |
